Truist Foundation puts trust in SPCDC with $10,000

The St. Paul’s Community Development Corporation announces additional funding awarded from the Truist Foundation for the Norfolk Food Ecosystem/Food Pharmacy Program, an emerging program model launched in August 2021, designed to encourage and increase the access and consumption of healthy foods, particularly fresh fruits and vegetables.

“UnitedHealthcare is donating $11.4 million through Empowering Health grants across 18 states and the District of Columbia. The grants will assist individuals and families experiencing challenges from food insecurity, social isolation and behavioral health issues, and support local health promotion and health literacy efforts.”
